On April 9, at the Embassy of Italy in Washington and in the presence of Ambassador D.sa Mariangela Zappia, the elections of the two US representatives for the CGIE were held. 185 Italian citizens had the right to vote, including councilors of the 10 Comites in the USA and representatives of the various associations. 134 of them took part in the vote and had to choose between four candidates. The result of the vote was as follows: Vincenzo Arcobelli 60, Silvana Mangione 48, Andrea Natale 15 and Fronterre’ 10. Arcobelli and Mangione were therefore elected. Both are already members of the CGIE in office and are therefore confirmed. The new CGIE will take office next September.
